#TBT 11 years ago today, the first article I was ever paid to write got published. I remember being so proud of this. The whole meeting was the 3-4 board members, me, and another reporter. A ceremony was planned for graduates, but none showed up. You gotta start somewhere. 🗞️

He got thrown out a few minutes after I took this photo looking for his first Triple-A extra-base hit, but great to catch up with Rocket City star Jeremiah Jackson, who is making his Triple-A debut for Norfolk. He played 373 games at the Double-A level for 3 teams from 2022-25.

Gotta give Wade Miley a lot of credit tonight. He knew the rain was coming and pitched to contact. This was the last out of his 5-inning complete game shutout, the first shutout of his Minor League career. He threw 47 pitches to blank the Stripers in just an hour and 2 minutes!

We've got a great series opener on tap tonight as the @LouisvilleBats host Gwinnett. Wade Miley is set to make his Louisville Slugger Field debut and Ronald Acuña Jr. is expected to play for the Stripers. First pitch at 6:35 p.m. Should be a fun week!
