Looking at a map of the Finnic peoples of Idel-Ural still shows the devastation of the Cheremis wars/Kazan rebellion. Huge portions of Maris and Erzyans migrated east to live in peace amongst the Bashkirs and Tatars, many of them practicing their native religion up to this day.

Actually Morby ceramics are basically identical to Ilmandu ceramics, they are just named differently due to being studied in different countries. They overlap with the Tarand graves. Finland and Sweden had continual small Finnic colonies in the more recent half of the first

Often overlooked part of the Gothic migrations is that while they conquered the Slavs, they also colonised Finland, later assimilating into the Finnish ethnogenesis. Around half of Finnish ancestry of Tavastian origin is Gothic. This is confirmed by the Kärsämäki and Untamala
How did a people from Scandinavia end up sacking Rome and ruling Spain? The Goths undertook one of history's most epic migrations, and their journey forever changed the face of Europe. I mapped out their incredible story.
