1. @FeserEdward ignored my response https://t.co/8MmXCKUGyH… 2. I assent to Ordinatio Sacerdotalis 3. Feser dissents from the doctrine that, in light of the gospel, the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.

Though @mfjlewis freely accuses others of “dissent," he recently ran an article at @Where_Peter_is dissenting from the Church’s declaration that its teaching on Holy Orders is “infallible” and “irrevocable.” I discuss this development at @CatholicHerald

Really, @CatholicHerald is a sewer now. You’d almost think, reading this, that it hasn’t been nine days since Mike Lewis had followed the original article with one effectively disowning and apologising for it. Of course, acknowledging that would require intellectual honesty.

The debate over standing vs. kneeling for Communion isn't really about posture. It's about what the Church believes happens to us in the Eucharist and the dignity of the people receiving it. Further thoughts by @A_lickity_split https://t.co/yBXbp15CrJ

In my first article on this topic, I made the historical and liturgical case for standing, which is the normative posture for receiving Holy Communion in the United States. Several readers pressed...

“The contemporary norm of standing is not a modern invention but a conscious retrieval via ressourcement. The reform did not create a new Eucharistic posture but  restored one that had been universal for the Church’s first millennium.”

Standing to receive Communion isn’t a modern novelty — it’s the Church’s ancient Easter witness, restored by Vatican II. Andrew Likoudis explains why the norm exists and what it proclaims. https://t.co/ocGZVyFvgT

Examining Leo's papacy thus far, we can see striking continuity with the vision of Pope Francis. @A_lickity_split with the analysis. https://t.co/5BYQciGlKm

My latest: A new pope’s first months almost always invite speculation. Will he break with his predecessor, or simply continue the last pontificate? Pope Leo XIV does neither. He is extending and consolidating Pope Francis’s reforms, while governing with a style and tone

Synodality is a constitutive function of the Church. Without it the Church isn't fully what it is made to be. The Church is the central place of encounter--with God and with others. For too many Catholics it's a sacrament dispersal site or a clericalist theme park.
