The students pictured here were ready to enter the English-taught welding courses before this program was created. They received #AWMH funding to provide them with necessary PPE, including Welding Gloves, Material Handling Gloves, & Safety Glasses for the Welding Processes class.

One of our original #MetallicaScholars Initiative schools, Clackamas Community College, is making trade education more accessible by offering Introduction to Welding in Spanish. A first for the school, these classes became an instant hit, already filling a waitlist!

Garrett keeps his family close while he trains for his career at @gatewaytech. Following the footsteps of his grandfather (a mechanical engineer), Garrett is working toward a degree in Advanced Manufacturing, while he navigates a new normal after the loss of his father.
