AVHS’s Graphics students took a trip to Vanguard Preparatory to read their self written and illustrated children’s book to elementary students! Each Vanguard student also took home a Graphic’s designed tote bag with one of the books that they read.

Yucca Loma had a visit from Old Grove Orange where they learned about how the oranges they eat in their school cafeteria get there from the farm! They also tried mandarins, fennel, dinosaur kale, apples, and rainbow beets.

The Old Grove Orange farmers made a stop at Sandia Academy for their mini farmers market! They brought navel oranges, tango mandarins, pink lady apples, celery, rainbow beets, and dinosaur kale.

We had a blast at this year’s Field Day! Special needs students, student volunteers, and staff from across the district had a day full of fun activities at GHHS on the Thursday before Spring Break, despite the rainy weather.

Sandia Academy put on a parade in honor of Black History Month! Each class created a poster that focused on an important historical figure. Students paraded with their posters as the band provided the music!
