We're running steam-hauled trains every day for this week only! 🚂 . Monday to Friday, trains leave Bitton at 1030, 1135, 1300 & 1404, and you can ride all day for £7 per person (under 5s free). Trains are running as part of a crew training week, apologies if delays occur.

50 YEARS OF STEAM… TODAY! 🎉. Today sees us celebrate 50 years of trains running at the Avon Valley Railway in preservation. Since those early years in the 1970s, as a railway we’ve been able to achieve things many thought were impossible.

💡 WHY CRANFORD?.Historically our own Avonside 'Edwin Hulse' No.1798 hauled these early preservation trains, however with it currently under overhaul, Cranford will be taking its place as a similar Avonside locomotive, allowing us to best recreate those first trains!.

🎉 PLANNED 50TH OPERATION?.Cranford is planned to be operating on our 50th Anniversary shuttle across the 4 days, forming a train of a MK1 coach and a brake van - recreating some of the first trains from Bitton station in preservation 50 years ago.
