@Protokahn Easily one of the best experiences in a cinema I’ve ever had. I would go as far as saying it’s the reason cinema was invented.

We had an absolute freaking blast on the show, and at the Comedy Mothership, laughing our asses off at humor that's probably banned in California. Thank you.
I had a great time talking to Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary @AVARY about how they met, how they got started making movies, their creative process, and all kinds of other cool shit. Episode is available now on @spotify and everywhere else. Also, check out their show, The

Michael Mann is so on point.
Michael Mann initially wanted to cast William Friedkin as Hannibal Lecter/Lecktor in Manhunter. Friedkin: “I thought he was putting me on. I said, ‘You see me as Hannibal Lecter?’ He said, ‘I see you exactly as Hannibal Lecter. You don’t appear to be psychotic, but you are.’”

I was never actually that big of a fan of Rick Dalton, but seeing how upset Quentin is today and how inconsolable he is has me wanting to see The Fireman 2 again. My favorite Dalton film.
We are saddened by the news of the passing of actor Rick Dalton, best known for his roles in the hit TV series Bounty Law and The Fireman trilogy. Rick passed away peacefully in his home in Hawaii and is survived by his wife Francesca. RIP Rick Dalton 1933-2023

The Barbie showing in Westwood last night had such an amazing audience, literally cheering the movie. Many of them were larping. I haven't seen that in a while, and it was awesome.
So happy for cinemas having the busiest weekend in years. I saw ‘Oppenheimer’ in venue shaking 70mm IMAX, I couldn’t even get tix for ‘Barbie’ at my fav London screen. And you still have ‘Mission Impossible’ (and more) to dazzle your eyeballs out there. The big screen isn’t dead.

Professional dancers were cast to play the nurses, and their twisted movements are my favorite sequence after Pyramid Head ripping the skin from Anna.
Silent Hill (2006), directed by Christophe Gans, written by Roger Avary based on the game created by Konami, screens in 35mm this Saturday, September 30th, at midnight.

@alecrobbins Deadwood is shot on film, and though no one wants to admit it, digital video and film are as different mediums as oil and watercolor paints. The physiological processes of production, preparation, and capture are diametrically different. This affects every department of.

@baileylikemovie Kubrick took on an agent for the first and only time in his life, and that was CAA partner Kevin Huvane, who at the time represented both Cruise and Kidman. It was a strategic move by Kubrick to ally with Huvane who was the one who made it happen. Kubrick’s backup was Alec.

This is fabulous news and I for one am absolutely thrilled to see Mme Huppert boldly supporting the vision of one of cinema's greatest artists.
ISABELLE HUPPERT set to star in DARIO ARGENTO’s next film:. “Dario is a major filmmaker […] I am happy to finally be making this film with him. He’s such a strange and original artist, but I cannot say too much about this project”.

@Variety I feel for the guy. For what it’s worth he breathed life into those words, and when I think back on them, like for example Chris in Northern Exposure hilariously having a mid-life crisis over a dental exam, it’s John’s face and emotions I see and feel cemented in my memories.

Carol of the Bells is the holiday music of nightmares.
RULES OF ATTRACTION is a SEMINAL Christmas movie. Emotionally depraved social ritual against a season of morally depraved holiday ritual bookended by this bleak festivity imbues the whole film with familiar melancholy A CHRISTMAS CAROL or IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE made standard.

This may be the most exciting cinematic grammar usage in decades.
Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are de-aged by decades in Robert Zemeckis' "Here." The filmmaker reveals the camera is in a fixed position for the movie's 104-minute runtime and never moves. “The single perspective never changes, but everything around it does. It’s actually never

@DavidAyerMovies This is so true. The screenplay is a blueprint document for a planned construction. Begins on a napkin and has many revisions towards construction, with input from clients, budgetary alterations, material & site tweaks, etc., all on its way to the planning commission for.
