Fantastic locale to discuss #EAUGuidelines! Prof. Fred Witjes, visiting professor at the Department of Urology in Tübingen, joined me to discuss real world experiences with the latest #NMIBC updates.

Last week I was able to virtually appear at the European Congress of Radiology 2022. It was a fruitful meeting on the collaboration between radiologists and urologists in all stages of treatment: planning, diagnosing and performing surgery.

Pleased to be involved with this Intraoperative Multisensory Tissue Differentiation in Oncology workshop. The aim of the joint research is to develop new probes for better detection of #bladdertumours during operations and to support pathological diagnosis.

At the #SWDGU Congress with Peter Kiefer, Prof. of Acoustics and Prof. Hans Schmelz. Interesting data was presented showing that the excessive noise level of ICUs increases the mortality of patients by 15%. On the other hand music such as Mozart increases milk production in cows.

Good to see evidence-based recommendations on #RCC management in the #EAUGuidelines 2022 update. Transparent medical practice and reliable evidence is vital for patient care. Thanks to Dr. Jens Bedke of our own @MedTuebingen for contributing to the update.

Recently I spoke at @ASCO GU about hormone-sensitive primary metastatic #prostatecancer. The #ARASENS trial showed longer survival with darolutamide compared to placebo in combination with #ADT and docetaxel. German speakers can watch the recording here:

Pleased to give a talk at @mcgillu on the importance of TURB in improving outcomes for #BladderCancer. Good quality TURB may not only reduce recurrences over time but also delay or avert progression, #cystectomy and even the course of the disease.
