ASRC honors the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of all Indigenous peoples — including the values and traditions of our North Slope Iñupiat. On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the deep and lasting impact of Indigenous communities across the country.

For the 31st year in a row, ASRC has earned the number one spot on the Alaska Business Top 49ers list. This continued recognition reflects the strength of our operations, our commitment to our Iñupiaq values, and the dedication of our employees across Alaska and all 50 states.

Today, we remember Dr. Jacob Anaġi Adams Sr. and honor his instrumental leadership in the formation of ASRC. Dr. Anaġi’s vision helped build the solid foundation on which our Corporation sits today, and his commitment to our region will be felt for generations to come.

The ASRC family stands in solidarity with all Americans as we remember and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001— including first responders, survivors, and families affected by the tragic event.

Today, ASRC celebrates its 53rd anniversary. Guided by our Iñupiaq values, we've grown over the past 53 years from three operating companies in Utqiaġvik to having operations in all 50 states. Our continued growth and success bring value to over 14,000 Iñupiaq shareholders.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved Americans in Texas finally received word that the Emancipation Proclamation was signed and they were free. Each year, Juneteenth is a day for celebration and reflection as we commemorate the end of slavery and strive for future progress.

Today, we celebrate the legacy of Elizabeth Wanamaker Peratrovich – a civil rights champion who was instrumental in the passage of Alaska’s Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945. May her courage continue to inspire us all.

February is a time to celebrate our diversity, honor our history, and continue striving towards greater unity for the future.

On this day in 1988, President Reagan signed the ANCSA amendments into law, ensuring Alaska Native corporations would be owned and controlled by Alaska Native people. This allowed ASRC to chart a deliberate path of growth over the last 37 years.

Today, we remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and honor his many contributions to our nation.

Today, ASRC remembers our friend and early leader, Dr. Oliver Aveogan Leavitt. A leader on ASRC’s Board of Directors, the North Slope Borough Assembly, and the Arctic Slope Native Association, Dr. Leavitt changed the course of ASRC’s history. Quyanaqpak and Taikuu, Oliver.
