Domestic violence is the wrong language. Implies perpetuation & impacts take place & are contained within, "domestic" spaces. No spaces are safe for ourselves and others where & when intimate partner violence is occurring. Intimate partner violence knows no boundaries.

And why we MUST challenge systemic oppression + intersections of racism, colonialism,classism, gender ... when we talk #traumainformed care

Witnessing responses to recent natural disasters shows who is determined worthy of quick response + resources and who isn't.

There are NO traumas no matter how intimate or global that shouldn't be contextualized within histories of racism,colonialism,class struggle

Not everyone is celebrating first days and back to ... the season can be filled with heartache #notallwonderful

This is why trauma much be seen and responded to at intersections of vulnerabilities. Disasters aren't equitably experienced or survived.
