We EXPECT the due date for submissions to be in May 2024 due to the late submission deadline for ASA this year. Stay tuned for finalized submission due date! 4/4.

To apply, you will submit your CV, submitted ASA conference paper/abstract, and a list of the sessions to which the paper/abstract was submitted to. Email your submission to section Chair Miles Taylor at mtaylor3@fsu.edu and contact the same email address with any questions. 3/4.

Grantees are additionally honored on our section day and will be offered an opportunity to be matched with a mentor from the section according to their preferences. Section membership is not required and non-member grantees will be gifted membership to the section. 2/4.

SALC will confer 5 travel grants of $250 each to BIPOC graduate students or postdocs who who will be attending the 2024 ASA conference to present their research related to aging and/or the life course. 1/4.

ASA and SWS are hosting an Op-Ed Writing Workshop on March 22 from 1:00-3:00pm/ET; 10am-12pm PT. In this interactive workshop led by Dr. Stacy Torres, participants will learn how to prepare op-eds and translate their scholarly work to broader audiences. 1/2.
