This warms my heart! The first Safety Walk took place 20 years ago. Ms. Adamack, an incredible pre-k teacher had the idea. @Regina_Fire @RegPublicSchool @RCSD_No81 and @reginapolice worked together and made it happen. Amazing partners then, amazing partners now. Congratulations!
Although safety walk season has wrapped up, the message remains the same. Thank you to @RegPublicSchool & @Regina_Fire for letting us partner with you on these important walks. @reginapolice

Be fire safe in the kitchen. Keep a lid handy to smother a fire. If a small grease fire starts, slide the lid over the pan and turn off the burner.🍲Let the pan cool. Find more safe cooking tips on https://t.co/tmmYpAGej9.

Good morning! It’s Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme is Safe Cooking. We can prevent these devastating fires. Just by staying in the kitchen when we’re cooking. That’s it. Really. Here’s to a happy Fire Prevention Week. And here’s to safe cooking for everyone.
#DYK cooking is the #1 cause of fire in #YQR? These pictures are from a recent fire caused by a pot that was left unattended on a stove. Always stay in the kitchen when cooking, cook with a lid and keep your stove top clear. #cookingfires #firesafety

Students will be returning to class on Sept. 8. Now is a great time to remember to slow to 30 km/hr in school zones. Students will be striding over to school, excited after a long time away. Please keep an eye out for them! @SGItweets @RCSD_No81 @reginapolice @CAASaskatchewan

A #YQR resident is lucky to be alive after a serious cooking fire on the weekend. They left the kitchen while cooking & fell asleep. The smoke alarm on the main floor had been removed. Stay in the kitchen when cooking & check your smoke alarms. Don't let this happen to you!
