The NFL privately admitted to the Panthers that replay review erroneously reversed an on-field ruling of a fourth-quarter catch by WR Tetairoa McMillan.

The catch rule, and the replay process, continues to be a conundrum for the NFL.

5- I still think the NFL needs to tighten their rules on sliding. Many other plays too. 6- Everyone needs to move on. This play had almost no impact on the game, and any fan still complaining about it today is coping. Focus on Sunday. #KeepPounding

3- I agree Ransom's hit is unacceptable. It's a huge mistake at a critical point in the game 4- I don't really blame the Saints for trying any of this, they designed a smart play designed to exploit both our scheme and the nature of reffing. They executed it well.

Getting traction on this post from last night so gonna address stuff here 1- Yes I realize I fucked up what down it was, and Saints had time to spike. Still, 0/11 Saints players go to set up a spike. They all knew a flag was coming 2- Shough did admit to flopping in his presser

Bad news: Panthers squandered a chance to take control of the NFC South. Good news: Panthers thrive as underdogs with their backs against the wall.

Next week is either going to be an instant-classic shootout or maybe the worst game of professional football anyone has ever seen before

I agree. The Saints planned this flag draw from a very incompetent NFL.
-2 OL stay at the LOS so that Shough gets hit -Shough slides diagonally *into* Ransom's path -7+ Saints immediately throw their hands up to the refs -At least 2 of those didn't even see the hit -Zero Saints rush on/off for a kick Saints practiced and ran this play to draw a flag

Obviously one play doesn't make the game, and the Panthers have a ton of shit to work on this week, but this is a dirty playcall designed to exploit refs and create a dangerous hit at the players' expense. Plays like this need to be banned in the offseason.

We lost that game on our own of course but I would be *shocked* if that type of slide is not banned in the offseason

Baiting a helmet-to-helmet hit like that should not be legal in the NFL or any level for obvious reasons of player safety

Man Falcons really were our get-right game TWICE this season and just torpedoed the Bucs on a Thursday to put us in front If we hold on to the division, we should send an honorary Process Blue banner for them to hang in Mercedes-Benz ๐๐๐
