Sunday was International Mens’ Day, a significant day to acknowledge some of the issues men and boys face. Prostate cancer is one of them. As Chair of the APPG on Cancer, it is essential to me that men can receive the appropriate support and treatment. I welcome this funding.

I would like to wish King Charles a speedy and healthy recovery after the upsetting news of his diagnosis. As Chair of the APPG for Cancer, I applaud His Majesty for raising awareness about a disease that affects so many.

Today is #WorldCancerDay and Teenage Cancer Trust have released new research showing just 17% of 13-24 year olds know all five of the main warning signs of cancer in young people. I stand in support with Teenage Cancer Trust's urge to raise awareness about these symptoms.

The less survivable cancers can have vague symptoms that are not at all well known. Take some time today to learn some of these signs and share with your networks, and if you notice anything unusual, see a GP as soon as possible. #LessSurvivableCancersAwarenessDay

Huge thanks to Professor John Radford from @TheChristieNHS and @OfficialUoM for coming to speak to the group about Living with and beyond cancer - novel uses of data and digital technology to improve patient outcomes.

The meeting brought together Parliamentarians and stakeholders from the cancer sector to discuss how we can make cancer care more inclusive for all, including for LGBTIQ+, disabled and neurodivergent people.
