The 2025 Travel Awards were presented to Dr Pragathi Masamsetti, Dr Shona Ritchie and Dr Yasmyn Winstanley.

The 2025 Image Awards were presented to Dr Genevieve Secker and Adelene Chiam for showcasing the beauty of Cell Biology and/or Developmental Biology through fluorescence imaging.

The 2025 PhD Publication Award was presented to Dr Sophie Shen for her published research uncovering gene-function relationships spanning early development to adult physiology. Dr Shen’s publication can be read here:

The 2025 Early-Career Researcher Award was awarded to Dr Yasmyn Winstanley for her contributions to understanding the cellular mechanisms regulating the first five days of embryo development.

The 2025 Emerging Leader Award was presented to Associate Professor Jennifer Zenker for her excellence in reproductive and regenerative sciences, and establishment of a novel sub-field in stem cell research defined as the “Cell Biology of Pluripotency”.

The 2025 President’s Medal was awarded to Professor Brett Collins for defining molecular mechanisms regulating membrane trafficking and signalling at the endosome organelle.

Congratulations to the 2024 winners of the ANZSCDB Awards! 🏆

The 2024 Best Image Award was presented to Ivan Ngui for his image titled, “Web of Life”. The image consists of the mesenteric vasculature from a mutant mouse embryo that exhibited abnormal lymphatic vasculature.

The 2024 Publication Award was awarded to Dr Vicky Tan for her outstanding research paper which explores novel approaches to understanding cellular responses to environmental stressors. You can read her paper here:

The 2024 Emerging Leader Award was conferred to Associate Professor Nathan Palpant for his innovative research focusing on understanding the cellular mechanisms underlying heart development and disease, with a particular emphasis on stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.

The 2024 President’s Medal was presented to Emeritus Professor Paul Gleeson for his contributions to advancing the understanding of Golgi function, protein sorting, membrane trafficking, and cellular immunology.
