Our #wcw this week is Ruth Anderson. She was a composer of orchestral and electronic music. Throughout her education, Anderson was the recipient of a multitude of awards and grants, including two Fulbright awards to study composition with Darius Milhaud and Nadia Boulanger.

Our first ASO @ Avon concert of the 23/24 Season takes place Nov 30 at 6:30pm. Hear Bach’s 6th Brandenburg Concerto featuring the warm sounds of the strings soloists from the Orchestra. You'll also hear the return of the beautiful sounds of holiday music scored for brass ensemble

This #wcw we're excited to talk about Paula Kimper. She is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and has been active in NYC for over 35 years as a composer of many genres. Recently, her entire catalogue of scores was acquired by the Loeb Music Library of Harvard University.

The ASO and Music Director Carlos Izcaray are thrilled to announce the hiring of Daniel Cho as Music Director of the ASYO and Assistant Conductor of the ASO. Daniel Cho is a Korean-American conductor and violinist. We are looking forward to working with him beginning in 23/24!
