On Tuesday, March 7, ALEA’s SBI Bomb Squad lost Explosive Detection Canine Laika, after a brief battle with cancer.
Laika passed away peacefully in the arms of her handler SAS Jonathan Gregg. Laika would have been 11 in May and served Alabama for 9 years.
