We, for one, cannot wait to get our hands on one and compare it to our first-gen 3.0 Supra. Tuners rejoice! Plus I think a 2.0 Supra with 6k of mods is gonna actually beat a base 3.0 Supra on track. That weight advantage is serious!.

BMW tuners are making 300whp and 430wtq with only tunes, and there is no doubt that those numbers will be pushed further in the Supra platform. In a car that weighs 3180 lbs, that's a recipe for some serious jam.

The NA model of the A80 Supra made up 30% of total sales in the US market, a significant portion. This new 2.0 is the equivalent of the 7M-GE A70 and 2JZ-GE A80, but with far more potential out of the box than either of those motors.

Some may say its sacrilege, but having a second, less powerful version of the car is an integral part of the Supra lineup in the US, something that the A70 and A80 needed in their eras as well.

Additionally, the 2.0 car will feature standard suspension without electronic adjustment, no E-LSD, smaller brakes, 18" cast-aluminum wheels, and manual seats. All this adds up to a car that weighs in at 3181 lbs, very lightweight for today's standards.

This is, just like the bigger B58, based off the modular B-Engine platform. The B48 in the Supra outputs 255hp and 295lb-ft of torque. This is paired to the same ZF 8 speed Automatic transmission as the 3.0 equipped model.

Now, before you get up in arms, read on to see why we think this is a fantastic addition to the lineup. The new 2.0 Supra has a version of the BMW B48 engine that is available in a number of BMW models, including the Z4 30i.

The interior gets Alcantara seats with blue stitching, and a matching trunk mat and key sleeve to hide your BMW-sourced key. It's coming in June and most likely will slot in at the same price premium as the Launch Edition Supra was.

It also includes a carbon fiber lip spoiler, carbon mirror caps, matte black wheels (like the launch edition), and some cheesy graphics on the C-pillar. The brake calipers now feature the "Toyota Supra" logo, reminiscent of the A80 Supra.

The A91 Special Edition is a 1000 car run for the 2021 model year. It includes all of the upgrades of the 2021 car, in two colors: the standard Nocturnal Black and a new color, Refraction Blue, which is a shade of BMW's Misano Blue Metallic.

Also, the smaller infotainment screen is axed in favor of the big 8.8" screen as standard. It's likely that the later version of BMW iDrive will be installed on it which means that we may be getting wireless Android Auto (FINALLY!).

Additionally the Power Steering, Active Suspension, Stability Control, and Electronic Diff have all been retuned for this model. 0-60mph drops from 4.1 to 3.9 seconds. The 8 speed ZF Automatic transmission remains the same.

However, this is NOT the same motor as the Z4 and is in fact MORE DIFFERENT from the Z4 with the upgraded motor than the previous year. In addition to the engine, the dampers have been retuned and the chassis has been stiffened with additional bracing.
