Winship researcher Aparna Kesarwala, MD, PhD, has been named a 2024 Gilead Research Scholar. The two-year, $180,000 award will support her project, "Combination targeting of metabolic transporters with radiation therapy in lung cancer." Learn more:

I’m speechless. And lucky to have run into him at ASTRO, where he was, as always, kind, enthusiastic, and encouraging. He was the physician-scientist we all aspire to be. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. 💔.
Heartbroken to hear devastating news that Cullen Taniguchi died suddenly. A brilliant physician-scientist in #radonc, who made impacful discoveries, was an inspiring mentor, and elevated everyone around him. My condolences to his family & his friends & colleagues @MDAndersonNews.
