Happy hour welcoming @BrownObGyn and @womenandinfants’ new faculty: @HighRiskStork, @AHauspurg, & Bill Grobman. Easy to celebrate being part of @EmilySMillerMD’s huge MFM division (some are away!)

Back from Norway. Talked OB leave with local: they must stop work at 37w0d. PP leave start @ birth, each parent gets ~16 weeks, then 16 more weeks split between parents (all of this 100% paid), &, if desired, can get rest of year @ 80% salary. Embarrassed to explain our PP leave.

Really impressed by @BPolnaszek and the other graduating fellows from @womenandinfants and @BrownObGyn. Tonight, they presented their thesis projects. Each study was elegantly done, with clear direction towards clinically meaningful next steps. Congrats!

Had a few papers that were submitted as full manuscripts be rejected as manuscripts but invited to be resubmitted research letters. Shouldn't complain, but it does hurt a little to delete all those words...

So excited about this change to streamline the submission process (co-authors confirm authorship via email instead of the infamous signed/scanned paper form)
Good news for our submitters! AJOG MFM does not require a copyright statement signed by all authors anymore: we have simplified the system to send emails for authorship confirmation to each co-author. Easier, better!

Yet another thought-provoking manuscript from @TCersonsky. Congrats!
So excited about this work in perinatal mental health with @ninaayalamd @AKLewkowitz and @womenandinfants (@BrownMedicine) - higher baseline proactive coping skills are associated with lower risk of adverse perinatal outcomes

S/o to @LaurenMurphy_MD, who singlehandedly 1) secured funding; 2) launched & integrated this program into our PNC clinics; 3) powered through publication. @MetzTorri, @breinerson & the rest of @UofUHealth are getting a changemaker as incoming MFM fellow. https://t.co/QVLM9zOExk

While packing up my cart at our local Aldi after post-call grocery shopping, I realized I spiritually embody the motto, "U Can Stay Forever" while geographically being across the country. Can't deny my love for @UCSF_ObGynRS swag from @MySMFM (each bag is a different year).

Congrats to @BublitzHanson, one of the most collaborative (and prolific) researchers I know. Love riding her coattails with @ninaayalamd.
Congratulations to Dr. Maggie Bublitz (@BublitzHanson) on her @FulbrightPrgrm scholarship to study maternal mental health in the UK and New Zealand! Learn how she’s forging global connections to improve maternal health here at home:

Reading fellowship applications is a TON of work (we read and independently score every. single. candidate.). But, above all, "meeting" future MFMs is absolutely inspiring. Many of these rising chiefs have the potential to move the needle in big, big ways.

Today @BrownObGyn MFM Division tried a new thing: lunch & learn during @MySMFM's fellow lecture. Kudos to @abattarbee for her phenomenal, pragmatic talk on CGM in GDM/DM in pregnancy. With @EmilySMillerMD and a ton of people not on X. Until next fellow lecture!

Congrats to Greg! We met doing @Brown_SPS's Certificate of Digital Health Innovation program. His intervention could help reduce perinatal anxiety, and I'm really excited to start studying Just Breathe @womenandinfants in a few months.
THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! The $15,000 cash prize and approximately $24,000 services prize goes to…….. “just breathe”!!!! Congratulations to Greg Calderiso!

I'm not usually a spiritual/religious person...but it was profoundly centering to lead our littles through a kid-friendly seder by performing the same rituals/prayers & eating the same foods as our ancestors have done for thousands of years. Chag Pesach sameach!

Love @yafshar's interpretation of this study. So true!
