✅It's cool to see more platforms embrace this model. Looks like they're rolling out this marketplace in waves which is probably intentional so they can start onboarding people to the platform, iterate on the design, and work out the kinks in prep for GTA 6 launch later this
This is very interesting - a Rockstar content marketplace similar to Fab and the Unity Asset Store, focused on Rockstar game modding.

Starting tomorrow Epic is allowing creators to offer in-map purchases to players in their Fortnite maps. I'll give it a month before someone gets in trouble for deceptive sales practices or some kind of non-compliance 😜 Here are a few noteworthy tidbits from the new Fortnite

I really tried to like this game. Every 5 mins I’m optimizing my builds in the menu which is low key annoying. The music is great though. #SilkSong 2026

Y’all, stop spreading false information. This lawsuit is not against us. There was a spelling mistake in the lawsuit. Their lawyer fixed the lawsuit typo after we caught it. The map that was taken down and is part of the lawsuit is "Stealing Brainrots" by VastHorizon. We have a

The Unreal Stockholm Wrap party rewrote 600 karaoke songs to all be video game related. Some resistance at first but turned out to be a lot of fun! 🎤

There is also the question of what happens when players spend vbucks on a map and then the map gets removed for some reason. My assumption is the players will just be SOL and miss out on w/e they spent. It doesn't happen often but I have seen one instance where a consumer who

New monetizable items also creates some cool new opportunities with sponsors. We see this on the Roblox side a lot where sponsors will pay to have customs items sellable to players. This should be another avenue to bring in money through the door. 🤑

I thought this was an interesting change, and one that probably makes sense for Epic. Right now, creators who bring in players into the Fortnite ecosystem with their map receive a better retention metric (and therefore a larger payment), if those players continue to play ANY

Right now the sellable items are limited to durable/consumable items. Personally, I'm less inclined to spend real money on anything that's consumable, with the exception of things like xp boosts. If the purchases came with something like that I could see myself buying, but
