Yesterday @thetracheteam hosted our first in-person Tracheostomy Forum. This was attended by five service users, and their family/carers. For some attendees this was the first time they had met another person with a trache! *Images shared with patient permission*

When Steve first came to us he required a hoist to transfer, and in just over a week he has progressed to walk independently with crutches - and is even managing the stairs! 🏃🏻Not too bad after a visit to @CritcareLTHTR and a five week stay @LancsHospitals 🤩

Another success story🤩 Tim was admitted to hospital in November 2020, he had a stay on ICU where had had a trache inserted. He was then de-cannulated on the RHCU and came to the Avondale Unit for rehab prior to discharge home. Posted with permission from Tim. (1/3) #rehablegend
