Ranking these players…. Miller.Necas.Ehlers.Stankoven.Drury.Hall.Morrow. Slight edge to Canes in draft capital. Miller/Stankoven long term pieces. Yeah, incredible dealing by GMET #RaiseUp.

Brent Burns says that right now he’s “leaning” towards taking #84 with the Avs, but “nothing is set in stone”. The two numbers he has worn, 8 and 88, are already taken in Colorado.

The forward group is better with Ehlers though it won’t really become great until they upgrade at C. 37-20-24.71-??-27.48-11-22.50-77-53 (28). Put the right C on the second line and it’s a pretty good group.

6-Miller could slot into a LD2 and play with Walker or pair with Slavin with one of them playing their off side. It isn’t impossible for that to work. 7-as of today it would probably look like…. 74-5.19-26.21-4. I think that’s pretty strong.

4-As I’ve said repeatedly however, Carolina has a gaping hole at C that must be addressed. I also would love to see them upgrade the right side of the blue line. 5-They’ve added a huge piece on defense in K’Andre Miller that will allow Alexander Nikishin time to develop….

2-He’s effective on the power play. Great in transition and a creative passer. He will make Carolina’s offense better. 3-Not sure where we get the notion that he’s a 3rd line player. He was 4th on the Jets in TOI among forwards. He was 3rd in scoring as well.

Gang, was hoping to be able to jump on the pod tonight to talk through the Ehlers signing. Will definitely get to it this weekend. So, some quick thoughts in the interim…. #RaiseUp. 1-Ehlers is a really good offensive player. 225 career goals and .77 points per year.
