Today our wonderful colleague Mary Stronach retires after a stellar 50 years service in the NHS. Mary started work at Airedale in 1970 she was 15 as a ward hostess serving tea and coffee & then became a midwife on our Labour ward. What an achievement, we'll all miss you Mary!

There is no evidence showing that coronavirus can be carried or passed on in breastmilk. The well-recognised benefits of breastfeeding and the protection it offers to babies outweigh any potential risks of the transmission of covid-19 through breastmilk.
