In the fall, I hosted a very successful sport psychology session for parents/coaches of youth athletes. I will be doing this again February 23, but this time online. I'm hoping that enables folks across this province to join and learn. Stay tuned for more details.

I'm often asked to help teams build their mental skills, but too often, requests happen the week of a big competition. Mental skills training should be built into your program at the start of the year. Then during those big competitions, it's about maintenance, not learning.

I also hope to be more active on social media this year. First, in the next week or two I will announce a date for an online sport psychology session geared toward parents/coaches of youth sport athletes in NL. The in-person session in September was a hit--time to build on it.

2024 was a busy year for A Focused Mind Sport Consulting. Had over 100 meetings, all with the goal of helping athletes, coaches, officials, and teams improve their mental performance. #sportpsychology is so important for success. I'm looking forward to keeping this going in 2025!
