As our beloved New Orleans continues to grapple with the deadly terror attack here on New Year's Day, not buying into misinformation and conspiracy theories meant to fuel hate couldn't be more important. The truth matters.
The deadly attack in New Orleans has fueled lies and conspiracy theories about immigrants, Israel, Jews and the government. Our Center on Extremism explores how and why purveyors of false information are capitalizing on the attack to promote hate.

Hate is not limited by geographical boundaries, and we applaud the @USAO_EDPA and @FBIPhiladelphia for their decisive action against a MS man harassing Jewish businesses in PA, and their work with our Philadelphia and New Orleans offices to seek justice.
Our thanks to the US Attorney's office and law enforcement partners for delivering justice to local Jewish-owned businesses. We appreciate that these acts of cyberstalking and harassment were addressed with the seriousness they deserve. When you experience hate, be sure to.

Language like this from @RepClayHiggins is downright despicable, irresponsible and threatening.
For @RepClayHiggins to direct more violent and hateful rhetoric toward a community that's already come under attack – thanks to odious conspiracy theories – is dangerous and vile. His reckless and racist comments should be condemned by all.

Whether you’re a Republican senator from Arkansas or a Democratic governor from Michigan, objecting to hate – whether it comes from allies or adversaries – is simply part of your job.
Yes, @DanaBashCNN, is absolutely right. It's a sad reality when leaders refuse to call out antisemitism coming from their own side. Condemning hate expressed by your opponents is easy. Calling it out when it comes from your friends is hard. But moral clarity and plain old.

Our hearts are with the family of Sybil Haydel Morial, whom we first honored 46 years ago. Her leadership motivated the people of New Orleans and our organization for decades. May her memory serve as a lasting legacy of inspiration and hope for us all.
Today, Urban League of Louisiana President and Chief Executive Officer Judy Reese Morse released a statement on the passing of Mrs. Sybil Haydel Morial. Full statement:

By denying our full history and the lessons it teaches us, @LAGovJeffLandry’s order marginalizes Louisianans whose diverse backgrounds make this state so special. Our children deserve better.
