Now it's all about beating the Bills, winning the AFC East title and getting a chance to play at home. I believe this team can bounce back. But that belief isn't nearly as strong after what we saw, or didn't see, against the Ravens.

It wasn't just that the Dolphins lost to the Ravens, it was how they lost. You can talk all you want about injuries, but everybody has to overcome something this time of year. No excuses. No sugarcoating. Never thought this team, this season, could play this bad.

I'm not predicting how and when this season will end. What I'm saying is that for the first time in years, I believe the Dolphins have a team that can do some serious damage in the playoffs.

The win over Dallas further validates what this team is capable of doing. This is as complete a team as we've seen here in decades! I know, I've covered all of those teams, witnessed the failures and shortcomings, and suffered with you. Pinch yourself! This team is different.

Now comes the toughest 3-game stretch of the schedule, a stretch that will answer so many questions about this team. Assuming they can get some of their injured back (Tyreek, the DB's etc), I still believe this team can be really special. Now is the time to prove it!.

Got to admit the sting from that loss to the Titans had lasting power, but what the Dolphins did to the Jets on Sunday showed me plenty about this team. The urgency. The resolve. The execution. They refused to let that loss define them, a very encouraging sign.

The injuries on defense are a concern, but what we're seeing is a team coming together on both sides of the ball. People ask me all the time if this is a Super Bowl team. My response: This is as close to being one as the Dolphins have been in decades! So much fun to watch.

It's been far too long since I have felt this good about the Dolphins' heading into December, probably since Marino was in his prime. Yes, there are issues and J. Phillips won't be easy to replace, but 8-3 and leading the AFC East? That feeling of legitimacy is real and deserved.

I knew Jalen Ramsey was good. Difference-making good. But his two picks on Sunday reminded me of how good. Another smart, impactful offseason move.

First it was the offense winning games in September and October. Now it's the defense winning games in November. Can't wait to see what this Dolphins' team looks like when both sides come together at the same time. is that what December will look like? An enticing thought.

Tua. Tyreek. A 6-2 record. A sweep over the Pats. Let's sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy what has happened through two months. I know the most important part of this journey is ahead. But you've got to also enjoy the moment and this moment feels awfully good, doesn't it?.

One thing is clear: For this offense to really click, it can't be one-dimensional which is what happened against the Eagles. Pre-snap penalties also a concern.

Dolphins need to get healthier in some key areas (OL and secondary) to gauge the true upside of this team. The loss was disappointing, but the rushing defense was vastly improved against a team that excels at running the ball. A whole lot of teams would like to be 5-2 right now.

But what this offense has done through six games is truly remarkable. So much fun. So many possibilities. I used to tell my sons that the Marino era was so special because you never knew what you might see next. This offense has the same feel.

The biggest concern on defense is stopping the run. The Dolphins appear soft up the middle against the run. Good teams will seize upon that. See, the only way I can see to really slow down this Dolphins' offense is to keep off the field.

The Dolphins have beaten the teams they were supposed to beat, which is a nice accomplishment by itself. Remember the years when they couldn't? But now comes a measuring stick game against the Eagles. The offense certainly looks ready. The defense? That remains the major concern.

The concerns on special teams and on defense are valid. The Dolphins have been lacking in both areas. Each game seems to provide a sobering example of that. As good as the offense has been, this team needs to become more complete to get where it wants to go.

The balance on offense is what makes this team so wonderfully unique. They can beat you so many ways. Achane is the most pleasant surprise of all. He is the piece nobody saw coming. How much better can he get? It'll sure be fun finding out.

No sugar coating this loss to the Bills. The Dolphins were exposed on several fronts, most notably on defense. This is concerning against an elite team. But let's give this team a chance to respond and regroup. Plenty of teams would love to be 3-1 right now.

Marino had plenty of weapons in those magical 1980's, but he was never blessed with a running game this explosive. Mostert. Achane. Keep that balance and this offense could reach remarkable heights.
