Seq study assessed miRNA exp. levels in pts w/ psoriasis w/ & w/o arthritis. miR-190a-5p was ↓reg in PsA vs psoriasis w/o arthritis, and miR-190a-5p & miR-26b-5p were ↓reg in PsA vs controls, suggesting potential as biomarkers for PsA development. ACROR.

To address conflicting evidence on value of genetic stratification for abatacept treatment, this study compared abatacept and adalimumab in pts carrying the SE (or Val11). Results showed no diff. in efficacy, suggesting HLA-typing may not be useful for therapeutic decision-making

Phase 1b RCT of afimetoran (30 mg) vs placebo in cutaneous lupus. Afimetoran showed a favorable safety profile. Rapid response was seen by week 1 and maintained throughout treatment, with reduced expression of TLR7/8 pathway–associated cytokines. ACROR.

PAD4 is a promising therapeutic target to stop ACPA prod. PAD4-immunized C3H mice showed inhibited T cell activation and ↓antibody prod. to arginine & citrullinated peptides, suggesting PAD4 tolerization may "switch off" ACPAs in rheumatoid arthritis. A&R.

Prospective cohort study in the UK Biobank investigated assoc. between the EAT-Lancet diet and rheumatoid arthritis. Greater adherence to the EAT-Lancet diet was linked to reduced risk of RA, with significant mediation by the metabolomic signature. A&R.
