Add that to the fact that for the first time (if my infos are correct) the game voice over we’re recorded in English first and don’t include lip synchronization in Japanese VO. So Japanese gamers won’t rush to buy it. We’ll see when the new mainline DQ will launch. 2/2

This is a good time to remind people that for a long time (since at least 9) Final Fantasy had more appeal at the international than in Japan. Dragon Quest is the king of role playing games in Japan. Not Final Fantasy. So it’s not that surprising that XVI follows this trend /?

#FF16 got lost in its Game of Thrones copy. No status ailments? Really? This the Star Wars IX of Final Fantasy. No vision and with a botched execution. I was rarely bored out of my mind by a story. Sad, very sad and scary for the future.

Just finished #FF16 and it was so bad! Right there with 12. Combat system is fine but all the rest? The story goes everywhere without actually going anywhere. The characters are so 1 dimensional, it’s impossible to care about them. Only 3 types of enemies. Soundtrack is fine.
