Today the Iowa Chapter of The American Communist Party went to The Amana Heritage Museum to learn about The Amana Colonies, a grouping of 7 communal living villages which were active from 1855-1932 in Southeast Iowa.

Today the Iowa chapter of the American Communist Party attended a demonstration by United Nurses of Iowa and Teamsters Local 90 in Des Moines, Iowa in support of their unionization efforts. We attended in solidarity and provided refreshments for the nurses and union organizers.

Yesterday members of the Iowa Chapter of the American Communist Party battled the 100 degree weather and cleaned up the hiking trail at Brown's Woods in Des Moines. It is our duty as communists to keep our recreational areas clean and safe for all people to enjoy.

Yesterday The Iowa Chapter of The American Communist Party took to the streets of Dubuque, Iowa to deliver a donation of 8 full bags of clothes to be given to people in need. Afterwards we all joined each other for a meal and conversation. All around it was a good day for Iowa.
