The Alexandria City School Board reelected Dr. Michelle Rief as chair of the School Board for the 2025-26 school year and Christopher Harris was elected as vice chair at the School Board’s Annual Organizational meeting this evening. Each leadership term is for one year.

Due to the HVAC issue at the ACPS Central Office, the Alexandria City Council/School Board Subcommittee meeting scheduled for tonight, June 23, 2025, has been canceled. A new date will be announced once it is confirmed.
