The York County Library Board's decision to move books about LGBTQ+ people to the adult section is a disservice to library patrons, an insult to the community, and a violation of the First Amendment right to receive information.

Grateful to the individuals with disabilities and @ACLU_SC for challenging voting restrictions that harm our community. Lawmakers don’t understand the barriers we face—assistance isn’t fraud, it’s access. Thanks to @MaryGreenNews for covering this story.

The right to vote is fundamental. Disabled voters deserve to vote with dignity and autonomy. Today we’re challenging South Carolina laws that violate the federal right to assistance for voters with disabilities. Read about our new lawsuit here: https://t.co/0nvzveDrry

We're still updating our map of SC law enforcement agencies that have volunteered to collaborate with ICE via 287(g) agreements. These agreements, which used to be rare, have increased tenfold in 2025. Most recent addition: Eutawville Police Department.

Gov. @henrymcmaster is sending 300 S.C. National Guard troops to Washington D.C. for 90 days. This second deployment will require Guard members to leave their families during the holidays and participate in a takeover of a city whose people did not request their help.

Officers may not confiscate or demand to see your photographs or video without a warrant, nor may they delete data. However, they may order you to cease activities that are interfering with legitimate law enforcement—for example, physically obstructing their work.

The defeat of S. 323 is worth celebrating. But no victory is permanent. When the full legislature returns in January, we'll be ready to show up, speak out, and fight back as lawmakers continue launching new attacks on our bodily autonomy, privacy, and free speech. Stay with us.

The total abortion ban bill is dead. The struggle for our reproductive freedom continues. Senate Bill 323, which equated abortion with homicide, was rejected by a Senate subcommittee on Nov. 18 after thousands of South Carolinians spoke out against it.

From the White House to the State House, politicians have tried to fire, suspend, and intimidate people for expressing opinions about Charlie Kirk. We're proud to represent a climate scientist fighting to protect his free speech rights and resume his work at Clemson.
