this isnt me defending the Grammys or claiming the Recording Academy is flawless btw. i just think its ridiculous to compare awards with completely different judging processes. MAMA, MMA, and the like will never be relevant to me until they have a revolution and change internally

MAMA is a clone app event atp, thats why it fell out these yrs if MAMA rules are comparable to any major music award, itโs probably the Billboard Music Awards, since both are based on chart performance and consumption data though MAMA still includes a small % of judges scores

Worst take ever. Grammys r judged by industry musicians, prods, engineers for cultural impact, ARTISTIC n technical achievement across all genres. MAMA is mostly fan-driven narrow event that relies on streams (prone to fraud),consumption data than on professional peer recognition
