🚨Flattened Rush found for the 1️⃣st time in #AB!. Found at Halfmoon Lake boat launch (north of #yeg), this is a good reminder of how easily #invasivespecies can hitch a ride!. This species is NOT listed but it can invade sensitive calcareous fens & displace native sp - report it!

🛑Don’t Move a Mussel!. Zebra, Quagga & Golden mussels clog pipes, wreck ecosystems & cost millions. They hitch rides on boats, docks & gear—but you can stop them when you Clean, Drain, Dry before moving waterbodies. REMEMBER: an ATTACHED mussel is an INVASIVE mussel
