LTNs - if they aren't a problem for you yet, they could well be further down the line. We believe they cause more issues than they supposedly solve. Read more in our new publication, Driving Sense. Visit https://t.co/VTF8vfzfbW, become a member and you'll join the mailing list...

Under-publicised ULEZ/RP consultation report (IIA) revealed aim that ULEZ income will be replaced by road pricing income by 2026. Khan wants to drive 27% of vehicle journeys off the road by 2030. CAN THE KHAN https://t.co/UfsaY3qEO2 https://t.co/Ikh7Sjtqzp

Mayor rattled about 'ULEZ lies'. How about "I won't expand ULEZ if there is overwhelming opposition"? "This isn't a money-making measure, it's all about air quality"? "Every journey counts"? "A Mayor for all Londoners"? https://t.co/ossUeewduk

LibDem stunt over Silvertown Tunnel. Mayoral candidate would only let 'low carbon vehicles' use it. Maybe they can advertise Khan's 'green' credentials on fireworks, cannabis, increased congestion, flights taken by advisers? (Link1) https://t.co/jk2vdeYKAr https://t.co/mAnDwPRMNJ

The Silvertown tunnel should be renamed the “Sadiq Khan motorway” to highlight the damage it will do to the mayor’s green credentials, the Lib-Dem mayoral candidate Rob Blackie said on Thursday.

TfL partners Hammersmith & Fulham Council had fine income of £11.8m for joke 'Clean Air Neighbourhoods' / Traffic Congestion Pollution Reduction' that has massively increased congestion and damaged local business. Council spun it as 'a successful trial'. https://t.co/bUDF5lMaMZ
standard.co.uk
The council said it expects the schemes to generate less than half as much money this year as drivers continue to adapt their behaviour

On a FOI request, Hammersmith & Fulham Council claimed they had no LTNs! But other official sources showed consultation and funding for LTNs! H&F know residents don't warm to the term 'LTN', so call it a TCPR or CAN. Support the local resistance https://t.co/7oiC0063rg

TfL deny current work on PPM road pricing. https://t.co/JxzGtOvnSI Different picture last year: TfL 'reiterated desire to implement a road-user charging scheme'... one model for how far as well as when and where motorists drive - push to walking/cycling https://t.co/1ylEzr4GFR

Ex-GLA man Matthew Pencharz warns 2023 ULEZ expansion mainly affected individuals with non-compliant cars - people who don’t drive around all day and have relatively little effect on air pollution. It has almost zero effect on congestion. https://t.co/77Q0UD9NuH

Sadiq Khan has stuck bravely to his policy but the row about it means arguments for more anti-congestion measures are now harder to make

Susan Hall pledged to encourage removal of controversial LTNs, and “remove unnecessary 20mph zones on main TfL-controlled roads”. Useful if she could spell out how the LTNs will go - will she update the Mayor's Transport Strategy or get the law changed? https://t.co/GjKR0vRBwp
standard.co.uk
She accused Mr Khan of ‘ignoring’ Londoners’ concerns on crime, housing, and the Ulez expansion, but promised ‘I am listening’

Khan denials not credible over tightening ULEZ or bringing in pay-per-mile. When not about to face voters, said a lot to do to meet non-binding WHO air guidelines. How managed, as he also committed to force 27% of vehicle journeys off the road? https://t.co/c9wyBtS3vB Hypocrite

MyLondon quotes 'A source close to Khan' that the Bill to scrap ULEX is an "unprecedented assault on democracy". No - the Mayor showed contempt for Londoners and their rights by ignoring the overwhelming majority (and facts) against expansion. KHAN OUT https://t.co/eqtYheg7mD

ULEZ: TfL couldn't give a figure for how many/which models it couldn't get VCA emissions data for. It fines drivers automatically, stressing a driver with health problems - fining him AFTER proving compliance. £23m of fines had to be cancelled KHAN OUT https://t.co/5paPyGepvn

EXCLUSIVE: Alex Fernandes, 74, from Wimbledon, was forced to take his 'pride and joy' 2002 Porsche off the road after the Mayor expanded the ULEZ to every London borough last year.
