The SG delivered opening remarks at 3rd Anniversary of AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre held on 10 June. The Centre opened it's doors in 2021 after a Host Country Agreement was concluded between the Government of the People’s Republic of China & AALCO. @AALCO_HKRAC

Speakers included representatives from UNCITRAL, UNIDROIT, HCCH, ICSID, IOMed, among others. @HCCH_TheHague @annajoubinbret @UNIDROITorg @icsid @UNmigration.

The SG attended the signing ceremony of the Convention establishing the International Organization for Mediation and delivered a speech at the Sub-Forum on International Investment and Commercial Dispute Mediation during the Global Forum on Mediation in Hong Kong on 30 May 2025.

Pleased to receive Mr. He Meng, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission and Mr. Li Jing, Liaison Officer to AALCO, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China at the Secretariat. Discussions on future cooperation took place. Mr. Yong Zhu, DSG, AALCO also attended meeting.

AALCO holds a participant status at CAHDI since 2018. AALCO and CAHDI both work on matters relating to the progressive development of International Law. @coe.

The Secretary-General attended the 68 CAHDI Meeting in Strasbourg, France from 17-18 March. He shared & provided information about the perspectives of the AALCO Member States on the work of the International Law Commission (ILC) that were discussed during the 62nd Annual Session.
