I'm listening to the debate between Dave Smith & Tho Bishop.
I recommend NOT turning it into a drinking game, keyed to when they say "Ron Paul"; you'll die from alcohol poisoning.
We can - & should - sell liberty without selling a person.
Liberty is always greater.
@BiblicalAnarchy
I'm not in the party to sell Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is one person, and yes, he had some good things to say.
But the party - and much more importantly - the message of liberty, is MUCH bigger than any one person.
TLDR: we won't change the future by living in the past.
@802libertarian
It’s pretty clear you have some type of emotional bias. If you’re going to model a strategy it’s obvious that Ron Paul is the closest we’ve had to success. So yes, talking about it is part of planning for future messengers of Liberty.
@GoodAMLiberty
Let's talk about modeling our next POTUS run after Ron Paul.
Tell me, did Ron Paul constantly name drop anyone, or did he sell the principles of liberty?
I'm *not* saying 'ignore Ron Paul', I'm saying HE IS NOT THE PRODUCT people will want to buy, LIBERTY is, & always has been.
@802libertarian
There is no evolutionary advantage to being loyal to an abstract principle. So most people aren't. There are huge advantages to being loyal to a person. So that's much more natural to most people. I don't think we should fight that. I think we should use it to our advantage.
@802libertarian
We can-& should- sell those who can/do promote the liberty movement also. Without figureheads like Ron Paul, Dave Smith, Maj, Hotep, we lack the ability to reach the people our policies will help.
