They seem to have gone with a weird side-theme of "toilets" this year and I'm 77% sure that's the only reason this stupid game gets to rub shoulders at the urinals with some of my favourite games of all time. wild.

in almost every stream or vod i've watched of eggwife lately, the players have found the football match in sheffie and promptly pissed on every player as quick as possible so that they collectively vomit all over the field.
this game was made for people like these.

for those who love a good New Game+, eggwife has a difficulty called "dysfunction" that randomizes:
-geometry rotation & texture
-projectiles
-NPC voices
-music pitch (and sometimes plays 2 songs)

basically the game becomes a really abstract platformer

It took us a while to decide what we should have as the melee weapon and we eventually went with a guitar. I ended up getting carried away and made it so it plays a powerchord in the key of the current music when u smak.

One of this game's dumbest features: "Dysfuntion" difficulty mode, which randomises a host of the game's variables differently every time you play.
One of those variables is the rotation of scenery.

a strange feeling that I get from playing games with modern graphics is a sense that every object is hollow, and polygons are as thin as they actually are.
not really something I experience when playing games with simpler visual styles.

The Bolts fired from the Crossbowner can now be any material. This works with savegames, between levels, etc. So, no matter what the Bolt looks like that you pick up, you will load it into your gun at some point.

turns out getting plugins from the unreal marketplace is just an uphill battle when you wanna get nitty gritty with the features and theyre full of bugs
so for the last 2 weeks or so, we've built our own vehicle system from scratch and tbh i think we've done a damn good job

After a couple weeks off, I started implementing it yesterday! It's a system that keeps track of what you eat, what you kill, the choices you make, etc - and adds up all of your infractions. The goal being that the player has the option to attempt fully-vegan runs.

I'll only use Blender when absolutely necessary because I keep unlearning how it works. Instead all my 3D models are made in Unreal Engine blockout BSP and converted to static mesh.

this week i've been expanding one of the early fight areas. 5 years ago this room was about 1/5th this size, had far fewer enemies, and was quite boring. that's what we get for blazing ahead with level design before perfecting movement. much better now ^^
