“Third, deepening work on budget oversight. Checking and reporting on the legality and accuracy of public accounts, budget execution and the credibility and reliability of government budgets will continue to be key for delivering on the SDGs”, said David LeBlanc. #70yearsINTOSAI

“Second, by focusing even more on #SDG 16 and its components,” Mr Le Blanc said. “SAIs can contribute to evaluating national-level progress in reaching the targets of Goal 16 related to transparency, access to information, accountability, effectiveness, and anti-corruption.

David Le Blanc highlighted three areas where the UN think that SAIs can make a difference: “First, by expanding SDG audit expertise. SAIs have already developed expertise in a wide array of SDG areas.” #70yearsINTOSAI #UN #Agenda2030 #sustainability
