The traverse of Ben Starav with @donniekennedy was made exhausting yesterday by the unconsolidated snow covering the boulder fields! We had to blindly feel for every footstepπ₯΅ Definitely worth it for the views though π

Great views from the summit of some iconic landmarks, including Ben Nevis and the CMD Arete, The Mamores and the Aonach Eagach ridge - the Crazy Pinnacles are very obvious.

Quick dash (yeah, right! π₯΅π³π) up the Corbett Garbh Bheinn above Loch Leven yesterday.

I love this short section of path alongside the river close to Crook of Devon. The beech trees bear the scars from storm force winds and are under attack from aggressive mosses, yet still manage to put on an impressive display.

Still loads of colour at Rumbling Bridge (Perth and Kinross) this afternoon!

Damp conditions on Glas Tulaichean and Carn an Righ yesterday required the use of Japanese stream-crossing techniques. After witnessing a spectacularly inelegant Kamikaze Leap, swiftly followed by a perfect Sumo Splat + Splash, the folk in the 2nd pic elected not to follow us π

Some more pics from Saturday's circuit of Stob Ghabhar and Stob a'Choire Odhair. It took us a little while to make the climb up Stob Ghabhar as we kept looking back to take in the incredible light spilling over the Bridge of Orchy hills and falling on Loch Tulla π

Really great day on Beinn a' Chrulaiste yesterday. A lazy late start meant the inversion had gone by the time I reached the top, but the views were incredible in the great air quality left behind as it dissipated π

Cracking walk up Ben Ledi on Tuesday to enjoy the inversion. Glorious, but even down in the clag the Autumn colours were tremendous. Managed to scrabble down vertical bracken π€ͺ to get a view of the waterfall in Stank Glen - it's quite impressive!

Had a great couple of days in the NW at the tail end of last week, walking the Western Fannichs and Beinn Dearg rounds to bag 9 Munros. Wonderful walking country! An Teallach constantly caught the eye - hoping to save that for my final Munro. 230/282 so will need to be patient!

Much mooching was enjoyed on the Cairngorm plateau yesterday. Up Cairn Gorm and over to Ben Macdui via Hell's Lum, Shelter Stone Crag and Carn Etchachan. A place of breathtaking beauty π

A heads up to anyone tempted to park on the verge at Cairngorm - it will now cost you a Β£50 fine! π³ I'd wrongly assumed the double yellows were to discourage bad parking and keep the carriageway clear, rather than extort hillwalkers. Another traditional parking place gone βΉοΈ
