This morning, our cadets joined the Chair of the London Assembly, Len Duvall OBE AM joined Assembly Members, the Mayor of London, representatives of the British Armed Forces and other special guests at a service of remembrance for those who lost their lives for their country.

You can’t say that Saffron Walden doesn’t make an effort when it comes to Remembrance Day. There was a sizeable crowd at the War Memorial and St Mary’s - which is a big church - was packed for the Remembrance Service. It felt like the whole community came together.

We remember one of our own. 1869035 Aircraftman 2nd Class Herbert John Scott RAFVR Son of Jack & Florrie Scott of North Woolwich, Burial at City of London Cemetery Born 16th July 1925 – Died 13th November 1943 aged 18 years old

We still remember RAF Sergeant Leonard Alfred Rolfe.(Aged 21) who was a Wireless Operator /Gunner. Son of P. G. and Edith L. Rolfe, of Woolwich, London. He was one off us and we still remember his sacrifice and the other cadets and staff of this squadron who have lost their lives

Remembering our Ex-Cadet 1399658 AC2 Kenneth Thomas DING RAFVR who died on the 6th October 1943, he was stationed at RAF Hendon and was a passenger on a test flight on a Dakota Aircraft which collided with two balloon. The aircraft crashed will all on board.

Our Cadets were honoured to receive a visit from Brigadier General Dwayne Parsons, the Canadian Military Attaché to the United Kingdom. During his visit, the Brigadier General presented several Commandant’s Challenge Coins to deserving Cadets and promotions @aircadets @ComdtAC
