Some may call it an obsession. I call it Carolina Basketball. Lifelong Atlanta Braves fan. Dale Murphy for MLB Hall of Fame.

Joined January 2012
The legendary Hank Aaron describing Dale Murphy in 1982, after the #Braves star won the first of back-to-back MVP awards: "He's probably the best all-around player in either league, probably the most valuable player in baseball right now." High praise from baseball royalty.

Dale Murphy played in a #Braves' record 740 consecutive games from September 26, 1981, through July 8, 1986. He averaged 154 games played in a decade that included the 1981 season in which 55 games were lost due to a work stoppage. No one in MLB played more games in the 1980s.

Kelvin Bryant scored a UNC-record six touchdowns against ECU in 1981. But this moment with the late Steve Streater was truly unforgettable. #WaybackWednesday #GoHeels

Watched these showdowns as a TBS kid. No one faced Fernando Valenzuela more than @DaleMurphy3 (128 PA) and no one took him deep more times than Murph (8). It was two of the best in the game going at it when the #Braves & Dodgers met. Here's one from June 9, 1985. @BravesOnTBS

If someone figured out how to throw a screwball in today’s game… hitters would freak out…

8/3/90. 33 years ago today. One of the saddest days of my young life up 2 that point. First time I recall crying. The day that my childhood hero, @DaleMurphy3, was traded from the @braves to the Phillies. I learned 2 accept it, but not sure that I ever fully recovered from it 😂
