Man, whoever managed syncs on brassic is the goat, a great show elevated by the soundtrack to something really special, kind of like the first few seasons of sopranos were

That feeling when you wrote an article back in 2019 to showcase that "streams x average pay per stream" royalty calculators are just a bad idea And now it's used to source "streams x average pay per streams" royalty calculators

Intourist: imagine james chance and the contortions inspired by the absurdity of the post-Soviet life. The video below is from a stripped down two-man set, which sounds quite different from the full band. the most important guitar project in Moscow rn imo

From the showcase of Russian sorrow to the actual Russian sorrow, both physically and meta-physically drinking Vodka with a dark-jazz band Baritone Domination

Walking out of a showcase titled “Russian sorrow” the only things I have to say are: 1) The venue was quite shit 2) Daria Viardo has one of the most mesmerizing voices I’ve heard in my life, instant feeling of a crystallized moment frozen mid-air

Ankobo + Kaboo: not really a discovery, but still - mixing electronics all throughout the spectrum, from transe to dnb, with the band’s Russo-African roots (and a violin). Makes for a very sensual cocktail

Kugo-Yeya: the guys have been defo listening to Jojo Mayer, then added some kraut and ethnic stuff in the mix. Personally a huge sucker this type of music that just builds and build and builds. The guy spazing in out the front row is not a part of the band, though he should be

As a music lover I'm sure glad that Donda is out on streaming, but as a person working in music I lowkey hoped that it would never make it to Spotify at all
