Once a Knight Is Never Enough. LtCol Jeffrey Davis relinquished command of VMFA-314, which operated in combat & earned #MarineCorps Attack Squadron of the Year. His father, LtGen (Ret.) Jon Davis, former DCA, stood by—marking a proud moment for #USMC aviation across generations.

HMH-462 trained alongside U.S. #Airmen from the 821st CRG during joint nighttime external lift training, successfully lifting a Humvee and troops. The CH-53E is the #MarineCorps’ heavy-lift aircraft, designed to transport heavy weapons, equipment, and troops. 📍Travis AFB, CA

Large Force Exercises launched by MAGs 11 and 13 yielded high-fidelity training for fourth and fifth-generation fighters. LFE featured defensive counter-air and strike missions, allowing Marine Corps aviators to stay ahead of the pacing threat and adapt to emerging challenges.

Howitzer in the Sky. Using an MV-22B Osprey, Marines with VMM-364, 1st Distribution Support Battalion, CLR-1, and 2/11 conducted dual-point external lift ops, moving an M777A2 howitzer. The exercise highlights the MAGTF’s ability to deploy advanced artillery over long distances.

Leave no gap, stay Marine with DAP. Last Friday, the 3rd MAW and 4th MAW CGs met at a Direct Affiliation Program officer roadshow at MCAS Miramar. DAP offers Marines a seamless transition to the Reserves, providing stability, incentives, and the opportunity to continue serving.
