Great thread and interesting question. I don't know honestly. I think each case is unique. / .ai just can't be compared imo so 2% value is about fair. In some cases the .ai could be a lot higher, in my opinion, percentage wise.

Assuming is worth around $30 million today. The second "most in demand" TLD, sold for $600,000, that's about 2%. All other TLDs would therefore fall below that ratio. What do you think?.

The incredible 1-word domain has just sold for a gross price of $600,000 USD! 💥.Sale completed via GoDaddy Brokerage Services which is a powerful signal of the growing strength of the .AI domain market.

I am all for this .ai run but I never forget my roots. com is the umbrella TLD that covers everything. Some companies will see themselves more aligned with .ai but many will eventually feel the need to own their respective .com, either for credibility or because they became

Why is the .ai price appreciation curve so steep? It is playing out in my eyes like .com, but on a 10x faster timeline. The reason is because .com did all the heavy lifting. The .com aftermarket anchored pricing and now even emerging companies choosing different extensions (like.

Darpan (or his AI) is a great writer. This post to me is a great assessment of where we're at with .ai.

For anyone who could give af, I think I've said this before but I will say it again. My 'aha' moment for .ai came in early 2023 when I boasted to the Discord group (with some of the best domainers around) that I had bought @JoshDotCo - who was one of.

People seem to be having a hard time understanding why .ai might be here to stay. The most common argument I hear is AI is here to stay, but it will become ubiquitous and assumed, like electricity or mobile phones. Well kinda, but not exactly. The simplest way to understand why.

This is an excellent post. AI will be the backbone for most emerging businesses online. Of course, in most cases it's commercial (why .com then?). Saving a character at TLD level cannot be understated either. Given the price differential between a great SLD .ai versus in .com,.

@Castello_Bros @360 Why is everyone using .com not redundant? It was never intended to be all things to everyone. That's why .net, .org, .edu, .gov, etc were launched alongside. What precludes .ai from being all things? Or, much more likely, what stops .ai from being like .org? A large, however.

Also, .ai will become no more assumed (and therefore redundant because it's universal) than .com (commercial). I can't fathom that point people constantly make.

State of .ai opinion update:. I thought this Sherpa episode gave a great balanced take with none of the Sherpas imposing strong personal agendas: A lot of people have been vocal to call this (right now, I guess) as the top of the .ai run. I have seen a.
