Whenever someone tells me “everyone’s a little OCD” I’m so tempted to tell them about the many times I’ve destroyed my room looking for cameras and microphones that I knew weren’t there because my intrusive thoughts were very loud and wouldn’t stop.

OCD consumes every aspect of my life and it’s absolute hell on earth to go through.

I’ve taken leave of absence from work because of how bad my anxiety and intrusive thoughts/mental images were, I’ve been hospitalized, I’ve avoided the outside world for months at a time bc I had intrusive thoughts about some unidentified person waiting outside to attack me.

This is why it irks my fucking soul whenever people say “well everyone is a little OCD” like no the fuck you’re not! And you don’t want to be!.
ppl think OCD is all about being neat and tidy or handwashing but i had something happen to me that triggered such bad intrusive thoughts and anxiety that i had to take the whole of last week off work because i literally just couldn’t function.

My first memory watching Martin was in a psych hospital waiting room when I was involuntarily committed when I was 14 and I remember thinking “this is supposed to be funny?”.
