This is Thomas. He's grumpy because he's been banished to the floating box. Has been here for a full 30 seconds, and he's about to make it everybody's problem. 13/10

Let’s look at some results. Overall, just 60% of master’s degrees have positive ROI. Comp sci, engineering, nursing are most likely to pay off. Least likely to pay off: arts, theology... and business.

Is Graduate School Worth It? New paper by @PrestonCooper93 estimates that the typical master’s degree results in net ROI of only $83,000 over the course of a lifetime. Yet, 40 percent have no net financial value at all. https://t.co/xByrBA1BND

This is important! #HR #hiring Credential falsification and fraud are sadly more common than we want to imagine. We have created complicated systems for credential renewal that are process driven and do not create a love of lifelong learning to maintain competence #IMSsummit

Second-order thinkers will always be in short supply. The world is filled with first-order thinkers—it’s so easy to do. Asking “and then what?” is a tried-and-true way to dig deeper and stand out—in business, investing, or life. It also might piss some people off, but oh well.

"If an undergraduate college degree is no longer sufficient to fend off the technology invasion, what should our graduating college students do?" Pay for an additional, expensive master's degree says head of grad school at Lehigh. A second option: regret. https://t.co/OAe8C5kAn3

Meanwhile, nearly everything you want to learn is online for free. God, I can't wait to see the education empire disrupted.
