The shooter in Uvalde, TX shot 38 kids & adults; 21 died & 17 wounded. I watched this coverage & it was not until second day of coverage that the number wounded was released. Still not seeing the total # shot being mentioned. Are officials/politicians trying to control the story?

Why haven’t law enforcement or elected officials confirmed how many wounded? This is typically information that is given. Surely, 2 days later they should know how many shot. The 17 number provided with little back up information by a tv media person & in printed media reports.

This is my kind of guy. Reminds me when I saw my husband park on side of road & get out to rescue baby deer caught in barbed wire fence. Have also seen him stop traffic to rescue turtle crossing road... think I’ll keep him.

I’m scared. My baby, Maggie-Mae is really sick. We were up with her all night & we took her to our vet as soon as they opened. They are keeping her & giving her IV & running tests. She has extreme diarrhea & shaking.

I experienced same at ophthalmologist office in Texas. I told them about. No masks, staff members coughing, no hand sanitizer, etc. At my primary doctor they keep you in car until appt, take temp when you arrive, hand sanitizer everywhere & social distancing marked.

The Vet called. Not pancreatitis. It is gastroenteritis. They are giving IV antibiotics. Good news…on downside IV got dislocated & went under skin. Now she has large bump. They are icing it. Coming home tonight, but goes back tomorrow. Thank you all for your messages & prayers.

As long as you are able to care for the pet now, you are not too old. None of us know how long we have left no matter our age, nor do you know how long the dog has. We are in late 70’s & care for our two furr babies & share a lot of love with them.

It will grow back. I went through this 28 years ago. Hair loss very traumatic for me. Lost a breast, loss my hair, & then lost a lot of teeth following chemo. Survived cancer, had breast reconstruction, 16 dental implants. Still smiling & cancer free at 78…

Absolutely. Olive Samstead. It was a one room school house in remote desert town in CA. Grades 1 thru 8 in one class. She taught me to read & I remember at age 6 my dad having me demonstrate for his friends that I could read a newspaper. My favorite teacher ever.

This reminds me of lesson I got from first boss. Worked in PR dept. 17, just out of high school. I was crushed when my boss, a news editor, found same word spelled 2 different ways..he yelled at me “IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE WRONG, AT LEAST BE CONSISTENTLY WRONG.” Never forgot it.

I received same diagnosis 27 years ago. In my case, I opted for mastectomy, chemo & tram flap reconstruction surgery. I made decisions that I thought gave me best chance to survive since I had a positive lymph node. I’ve been cancer free since. Wishing you the best...

Any parent who has a child in a school where masks are not required must realize their child will most likely get COVID. Our politicians stopping mask mandates are STUPID. My child is an adult but if he were not, I would protect no matter what I had to do.

So sorry to hear, but good she doesn’t have symptoms. My aunt tested positive several times... was in nursing home where half had COVID. She then tested negative in time to celebrate her 100th birthday last Sunday.

Hey, lots of experience here with implants. I’m up to 16 titanium post dental implants. Stronger than my real teeth ever were. I’m 78, & have had these 16 done over a 20 year period. Just have them done under general anesthesia & it’s no big deal except cost. Sending good wishes.

I was small child living down wind from Nevada test site during numerous atomic bomb tests in early 1950’s. I remember my Dad waking us all up early in mornings to gather on front porch to watch the sky for the flash of the bomb. 4 of 5 family members have had cancer. Connected?

For me, at 78 I am really missing more time with my only grandchild. I see him several times a year for a few hours, but I miss the little boy. He is 25, very successful start to corporate career, has wedding coming up in a few months, & it seems all I have is the memory.

What a sweet baby. We are grieving the loss of our rescue doggie Caesar who recently died. We got him from shelter after he was found as an abandoned puppy. We had him for 13 years. He was the sweetest, polite boy… we gave him a wonderful life & he gave us a lot of love…
