It’s been a packed year so far for the #Sappers of 77 Fd Sqn (C-CBRN), who have deployed to Canada for a NATO C-CBRN exercise, conducted joint training with UK counter-terror policing and are finishing the term with an exercise testing their basic soldiering skills. #SapperStrong

The recent edition of the Sapper Games saw our #Sappers complete a series of military engineering and basic soldiering tasks, including an MGOB build and a march and shoot competition. These competitions ensure confidence and competence in core skills, and develop team cohesion

During 77 Fd Sqn (C-CBRN)'s recent deployment to Canada for Ex PRECISE RESPONSE, 29 EOD&S Gp Comd was able to present two commendations to members of the regiment who were recognised as having made particularly significant contributions to the exercise.

C-CBRN #Sappers recently competed in a section competition across Sennybridge Training Area in the Brecon Beacons. 28’s CO was pleased to have the opportunity to speak to the team after an admirable performance, which developed participants’ physical and mental resilience.

The regiment was pleased to host 29 EOD&S Gp Comd recently during a visit to Op INTERFLEX. During his visit, the Comd delivered awards to some of the regiment’s soldiers, and received briefs on INTERFLEX and C-CBRN capability developments. #SapperFamily

#Sappers from 77 Fd Sqn (C-CBRN) have been conducting training with some of the UK’s specialist C-CBRN organisations. This training and mentorship ensures that the regiment remains ready to respond to incidents at short notice and conduct training with international partners.

Close Quarter Marksmanship Training. Our #Sappers have been practicing their marksmanship this week. Proficiency in close quarter engagements is critical for soldiers who will likely operate in urban areas.

Falcon Sqn recently fielded a team at the British Army Warrior Fitness competition, held at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. Competing against regimental and corps-level teams, Falcon Sqn performed admirably across all events.

Commanders Dinner Night. Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers from across 28 Engr Regt (C-CBRN) have come together for a dinner night, enjoying an evening of cohesion and recognising the hard work and commitment of the regiment’s commanders. #Sapper #SapperFamily

Joint C-CBRN Response Training. 42 Fd Sqn (C-CBRN) have brought together specialists from across civilian and military emergency and strategic planning services for interoperability training. This demonstrated 28 Engr Regt’s readiness and built trust across the response chain.

One of Falcon Sqn’s troop leaders has been competing at the British Army Nordic Skiing Championships in Germany as part of the RTR team, which won the Princess Marina Trophy. Congratulations to 14 Troop Leader and Falcon Sqn.

C-CBRN Qualification Badge. Qualified soldiers and officers within 28 Engr Regt have begun to wear the new C-CBRN qualification badge, which recognises the specialist role and demanding technical training progression required from our #Sappers.

In recent weeks Comd 8X and Comd 29 Gp have visited the regiment and presented a number of awards, ranging from a CGS Commendation to 29 Gp Comd coins. Congratulations to all of those who received awards!

Earlier this week 28 Engr paused all non-essential activities to take part in Op TEAMWORK 25. The day was focused on building an army which is stronger together: more effective in its role and offering a better lived experience for our soldiers.
