21 Engineer Regiment exercised their Freedom of Ripon and celebrated their 76th anniversary, 10-11 May 25. This was a perfect opportunity to strengthen ties with the City of Ripon, display our capabilities and host local dignitaries with a Beating of the Retreat event.

29 Fd Sqn conducted a driver training concentration in Catterick during May. The focus was on convoy drills, off road driving, self-recovery, maintenance, camouflage and concealment. Expertly organised by Sgt A and LCpl S, in pursuit of mastering the fundamentals of our trade.

Ex WINTER CAMP: Jan 2025 1st Field Squadron deployed on Ex WINTER CAMP as part of the @ArmdCavRDG Battlegroup. During the exercise their Field Troops established several Abatis obstacles which were then cleared by their Terrier Armoured Engineering Vehicles. @Proud_Sappers

Three of our @natobgest team were invited to participate in the Estonian Defence Force's Cross-Country Skiing Championships 🇪🇪 They took part in both individual races and a team patrol race, placing highly in both!🎿 Well done 2Lt Williams, LCpl Heaviside & Capt Vincent! ⛷️

21 Engineer Regiment's Nordic Ski team have been busy preparing for Ex NORDIC SAPPER later this year 🐻⚔️ The team deployed to Chilwell Garrison, spending a week learning the fundamentals of Nordic Skiing and undertaking a rigorous fitness camp 🎿

Last issued in 1953 for the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Il, the medal recognises members of the Armed Forces and is awarded by His Majesty The King in his role as Commander-in-Chief of the UK Armed Forces. Very well deserved to our hard working Sappers 🇬🇧

On Thursday 26 September 2024, 21 Engineer Regiment hosted Commander 8 Engineer Brigade to present Operational Service Medals to a select number of Service personnel as well as the Kings Coronation Medal to eligible members of the Regiment 🐻⚔️

Having the Dive Doctor and supporting Corps Divers on-site ensured we made the most of this valuable training opportunity. Despite Scotland's unpredictable and challenging weather, we were fortunate to have clear skies, giving us perfect conditions to dive deep and train hard!

From the Regiment's home in both Claro Barracks and Sennelager they competed in over 8 different categories in this truly demanding event. An added bonus, the Live Erg rowing app was used to enable interactive racing 🚣🚣🏽♀️ A huge congratulations to all those who took part 🐻⚔️
